Urbanization and increased consumption of fossil fuels mean that 85 percent of the world’s population lives in environments that exceed WHO air quality guidelines. Atmospheric pollution is the fourth highest risk factor for global deaths. The risk is even higher in developing countries. This lecture introduces an alternative way for predicting air contamination in complex urban terrains with the help from data analytics. To conclude, I propose a hybrid model for improving the forecasting accuracy.
